A Chinese cast-bronze figure of the Child Buddha, early Qing Dynasty, 17th century depicting a baby Buddha with his left hand raised to the sky and his right hand lowered to the ground. On a stand with embossed lotus petals. The iconography of the baby Buddha is associated with the Chan Buddhist text about the birth of the Buddha from the Compendium of the Five Lamps.
