An antique repousse Tibetan Kapala Skull Bowl. A richly ornamented copper stand with three sculpted heads, the lid is decorated with relief patterns. The rim of the bowl is upholstered with copper and decorated with bone inlays. Kapalas are used for higher or secret tantric rituals, which are generally not available to the public. Many tantric deities are depicted holding kapala, mostly in the left hand.
