An antique Chinese embroidered silk hat of the Qing Dynasty. Decorated with intricate patterns some of which are made using the "forbidden stitch" technique. It is trimmed with leather stripes and a pearl pendant in the center. The edge of the hat is embroidered with expertly executed soft blue flowers, two long red silk tassels are attached to the sides, and a long silk ribbon is attached to the back, also decorated with embroidered blue flowers. 19th cenury.
Dimensions : L: 10 1/2 in., (26.5 cm.)
Condition : Good overall with expected signs of wear.
