Superb 19th-century French Sevres style soft-paste porcelain and ormolu twin-handle urn vase of traditional form raised on a round base. The twin handles finish with exquisitely modeled goat masks. The central front medallion depicts a Courting Couple in an 18th-century dress, the back view painted with a composition of flowers on a rich cobalt blue ground. The cover is decorated with an acorn finial and similar hand-paintings. Marked under the lid by the manufacturer.
