Iosif Michajlovic Gurvich (Russian, 1907-1993) oil on canvas painting "Meschanstvo" (Le Petit Bourgeois), 1929. Signed in Cyrillic and dated lower left. Additionally signed, titled, and dated verso. Provenance: Christie’s, New York, Important Silver, Objects of Vertu and Russian Works of Art, 24 October 2002, Lot # 14.
Dimensions: 37 1/2 x 32 3/4 in., (95 x 83 cm.)
Condition: Small paint loss, frame chipped, no visible signs of restoration, check under UV.
