Charles-Louis Baugniet oil on panel painting "Wintertime, " 1876. Signed and dated on the lower left. A painting of George Washington Crossing Delaware is depicted on the wall behind the ladies. Retain its original gilt frame. Provenance: The American Art Galleries, The Art Collection of the Late Judge Henry Hilton (1824-1899), February 13, 1900, lot 149. Charles-Louis Baugniet (1814 – 1886) was active/lived in Belgium, Flemish, France. Charles Louis Baugniet is known for Aristocratic figure and portrait painting, lithography.
Dimensions: Painting: 35 1/2 x 26 in., (90.2 x 66 cm.) With frame: 51 3/4 x 42 in., (134 x 106.7 cm.)
Condition: Very good, no signs of restoration. A minor scratch, frame has several small chips
