Antique Russian wooden icon in a gilded silver oklad, circa 1880. The oklad is decorated with embossing, engraving, white and blue enamels. Presented in the original wooden case with a fitted blue velvet cushion. Russian silver hallmarks: 84, female head, three Cyrillic letters SKZ (Sergey Karlovich Zakharov, the owner of silver and chased establishment, mentioned at the end of the 19th – the beginning of the 20th century).
Dimensions: 4 1/4 x 3 3/8 in., (14 x 12.5 cm.)
