Antique Russian Imperial icon of Christ Pantocrator. Oil painting on wood with gilt-silver riza (oklad), decorated with polychrome cloisonne enamel. According to the canon, Jesus holds the Gospel in his left hand, while his right hand is raised in a gesture of blessing. Hallmarks: 84 silver standard next to a female head in a kokoshnik turned to the right; the maker’s initials "CA."
Dimensions: 7 x 5 3/4 in., (18 x 14.5 cm.)
Condition: Very good. Light signs of wear
