Elena Lyudvigovna Korovai (Russian, 1901-1974) mixed media painting on paper, Still-Life #7, 1931. Signed, titled, and dated lower right. Framed. The auction label shows detailed information about the artwork on verso. Possessing an exceptional pictorial feeling, Elena Korovai worked boldly, discarding unnecessary things, achieving exceptional color vigor. The geography of her life: St. Petersburg, Barnaul, Samarkand, Moscow, the Caucasus, Crimea, Samara. Some of her works have been lost in Samarkand for a long time.
Condition: Overall condition good. Frame shows some wear, some staining on the mat board.
