An oil on wood board painting by N. Henry Bingham (American, born 1939), after the portrait of George III by Benjamin West (British, American, 1738-1820). George III is depicted as a confident military commander holding a paper recording troop positions. It was painted to commemorate the events of the summer of 1779, in which the King played an active part. Signed lower right: "N. Bingham."
Dimensions: 16 x 12 in., (40.6 x 30.5 cm.)
Condition: Very good.
