A large Russian silver-gilt goblet or drinking cup from the late 19th or early 20th- century. Decorated with an engraved Cyrillic inscription, niello, and a relief Empire-style pattern with acanthus leaves. Mounted on four feet formed as a bear’s paws. Hallmarks: 84 silver standard next to a female head in a kokoshnik turned to the left, later 875 silver standard marks, maker’s initials "GS" (Cyrillic). Weight: 18.9 oz., 536 gr.
