Anatoly Stepanovich Slepyshev (Russian Soviet, 1932-2016) oil painting on canvas, triptych titled "Gathering of the Angels", 1987. Signed and dated lower left. Old auction labels are on the back.
Anatoly Slepyshev, was a Soviet and Russian artist, painter, sculptor, and graphic artist. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, full member of the Russian Academy of Arts. He creates semi-abstract sketches of nature and human life in it.
Provenance: Sotheby’s, London, 2008, hammer $26,000. Originally from a private collection of an Italian diplomat in the USSR.
Dimensions: 61 x 40 1/2 in, (155 x 103 cm.)
Condition: Very good, framed.
