A Russian Nonconformist acrylic and charcoal on board still life painting titled "Shirt on the beach" by Vladimir Nemukhin (Russian, 1925 – 2016). Signed and dated lower center.
Vladimir Nikolaevich Nemukhin was one of the most renowned Russian postwar modernists, part of the so-called "Sixties generation." In Soviet times he and his peers worked in opposition to the official style of Socialist Realism and their art came to be known as "underground art" or "Nonconformism."
Dimensions: 19 x 15 in., (48.3 x 38.1 cm.)
Condition: Very good.
