A police (Schutzpolizei) dress bayonet. The bayonet features a nickel-plated steel blade with a pointy tip and blunted edges, with fullers on both the obverse and reverse. The maker’s mark on the ricasso reads IECKHORN, SOLINGEN. The crossguard forms a one-piece handle that completes in a pommel consisting of a stylized eagle’s head. The grip consists of two pieces of staghorn scales held together by two metal rivets.
Dimensions: L: 19 3/4 in., (50 cm.)
Condition: Good overall with some crome-plate loss, blade is slightly pitted towrd the tip.
