The lot consists of a Scottish silver-mounted dirk and a folding knife with a horn handle. The dirk has a blade with one fuller on each side, a silver-mounted baluster root wood grip carved with a basketweave set with silver stud. The original wood-lined scabbard is covered in black leather. The scabbard has sockets for a small utility knife and fork. The silver fittings of the scabbard are decorated with exquisite engraving with the monogram "M". A small knife and a fork are present and intact. The handles are decorated in a suit to the dagger, and the pommel of the handles is lost. The other folding knife has a curved blade and an antelope horn handle. Ca. 1900 or earlier.
Dimensions: L: 18 1/8 and 8 1/2 in., (46 and 21.6 cm.)
Condition: Some scartches and rust on the knife blade, scabbard shows damage, cabouchons are missing.
