An antique French WW1 bayonet sword manufactured to fit the French M1874 Gras infantry rifle. A solid brass pommel with integral latching mechanism, shaped walnut grips, steel cross-guard with swept forward quillon. A straight T-shaped steel blade dated roller impressed in French Arsenal at St. Etienne, March 1879. Acceptance and inspection marks. Complete in blacked steel tapered scabbard, with a ball finial.
