Features a gilded brass guard with a nice folding half guard. Floral design on the pommel and quillion, D knuckle guard with floral embellishment to pommel joint. The gilt wire twisted grip is in fine condition. The spear point blade shows good etchings of foliate patterns with slightly worn Imperial Prussian crowned eagle, military drum, sword & flag centerpieces. Maker marked Ewald Cleff Solingen/Germany. The leather scabbard is in very fine condition, with plain dress upper and lower mounts showing remnants of original gilt work. Circa 1890.
