The beautiful knightly sword, Europe 19th century. A sword made in the style of 12th-late 13th century AD swords. A long double-edged cutting sword with broad tapering blade, the fullers decorated with the inscription "HOMO DEI" (translated from Latin – man of God) made with silver inlay. The guard of type 1, the broad but short tang, tapering towards a plain walnut style pommel, D-shaped with slightly curved lower edge (type A"). Cf. Oakeshott, E. The handle of the sword is wrapped in cloth.
Dimensions: L: 36 5/8 in., (93 cm.)
Condition: Good with nice patina on blade, blade is in full shape, hilt is slightly damaged and has tears
