A briquet saber, model 1767, "dit de bretteur", was in use at the time of the French revolution in 1789. A straight blade, engraved on each side and the back with "Klingenthal". Made most likely for training purposes. No scabbard.

Dimensions: L: 29 1/2 in., (75 cm.)

Condition: Very good, blade has some minor chips and dents, some patina
