A rare 18th cen. Indian shsishpar battle mace with a khanda sword hilt. This type of battle mace was used by warriors for breaking through body armor. This mace features a 7-flang steel head mounted on a well-balanced faceted steel shaft decorated with engraving. The hilt is lightly chiseled with artwork around the broad handguard and at the base of the small pommel spike. Powerful and very battle-efficient weapon of early Hindu and Muslim warriors.
Dimensions: L: 34 1/4 in., (87 cm.)
Condition: Good with some rust to the surface.
