An Indo-Persian steel hand-forged ceremonial axe or tabar with a faceted pint and a crescent-shaped blade mounted to the shaft holding a brass elephant figure on the rear of a square head. A hilt ends in a ball terminal. The blade features inlaid silver decorations. 19th century.
Dimensions: L: 22 7/16 in., (57 cm.)
Condition: Very good, silver inlay has partially faded.
