A South Indian khanjarli from Vizianagram, 18th century. The strongly re-curving the tapering double-edged steel blade with pronounced medial ridge and reinforced tip. A handle carved from bone with an expanding pommel, pads riveted to the tang with six pins. Guard steel D-shaped. The khanjarli is probably a development from the earlier Chilanum. This rare item is in excellent collectible condition.
Dimensions: L: 13 1/4 in., (33.6 cm.)
Condition: Good overall, scabbard is missing.
