A tiger-tooth dagger, North India, 18th century. The tapering double-edged steel blades with pronounced medial ridge, with reinforced tip, the ricasso on both sides with engraved foliate decoration, carved hilts from two slabs with three iron studs. The wooden scabbards covered with black leather and perforated brass fittings are perfectly preserved.
A pair to this dagger is lot # 424.
Condition: Very good. The scabbard is slightly split at the throat.
