An Indian push dagger (katar). 18th/19th century. The pointed blade with a central ridge. The handgrip consists of two parallel bars connected by three cross pieces, one of them fastened to the blade. The handle is extensively covered with gold koftgari. The scabbard is covered with red and yellow fabric, in the lower part of the scabbard silver tips are decorated with chasing.
Dimensions: L: 16 1/2 in., (42 cm.)
Condition: Very good, scabbard chape i sligtly deformed.
