A rare Tibetan ceremonial sheet copper shield, 19th century. Of convex circular shape, provided with a raised border. The shield is set with four domed bosses with perforated floral decoration interspersed with 4 seated figures in ovoid panels, in the center is a large patch plate with an engraved and perforated floral motif. On the bosses, two turquoise inserts have been preserved.
Dimensions: D: 13 3/4 in., (35 cm.)
Condition: Very good, some turquoise stones are missind.
