A french hanger model 1767 "Grenadier" saber (the term "Briquet" was added during the French Revolution in 1789). Saber was used during the American revolution, marking on the blade. Ref: Swords & Blades of the American Revolution George C. Neumann, p. # 82, plate # 625.
Dimensions: L: 28 3/4 in., (73 cm.)
Condition: Very good, some minor chips on the blade, chip on edge of blade.
