French M1833 cutlass or Le Sabre d’Abordage. Metal cup hilt stamped with inspection marks on both sides on the quillon, original red felt washer, curved single-edged blade with a wide fuller, engraved with an anchor on either side, inspection marks stamped on ricasso, and inscribed on the rib in French "Manufre Rle de Châtellerault Juin 1838." Complete with its original stitched leather scabbard with brass mounts.

Dimensions: L: 33 in., (83.8 cm.)

Condition: Very good, the blade is slightly pitted.
