A World War I period American US naval cutlass model 1917. Closed steel cup and knuckle guard, and wood checkered handle with three brass rivets, slightly curved blued blade with a wide fuller on either side, stamped on the ricasso "U.S.N." Complete with original stitched leather scabbard with brass mount and hanger.
