АНТИКВАРНОЕ ОРУЖИЕ, ДОСПЕХИ И ВОЕННЫЕ НАГРАДЫ
Лот 260:
The type is used throughout the Caribbean with most specimens collected in Mexico. These were made in Mexico with both imported and Mexican-made elements and vary in detail. This own appears to be an example entirely North American-made, hand-hammered, and slightly over-heavy blade, D-shaped iron hilt with two sidebars; wood leather covered grip. This piece is in the “as found” Independence period (1810-21) and Santa Ana period, likely serving in the Mexican-American War.
