An excellent quality antique Caucasian quama dagger. The wide diamond-shaped steel blade with two fullers also has an engraved and gold inlaid calligraphic inscription. The silver-mounted handle and scabbard are decorated with highly detailed floral motifs made using the hand-engraving, filigree, and niello techniques and feature bone inserts inlaid with gold.
Dimensions: L: 18 1/2 in. (47 cm)
Condition: Very good, minor dents on the hilt back side.
