An armor-piercing dagger with a double-edged steel blade and reinforced tip (zirrah bouk), and jadeite pommel carved in the shape of a ram’s head. The scabbard is covered with red velvet and brass chape. India, 19th cen.
Dimensions: L: 12 in., (30.5 cm.)
Condition: Good overall, the blade is slightly pitted, scabbard velvet is worn, the chape is probably a later replacement.
