Persian kula khud ceremonial helmet. The skull is lobed originally decorated with gold koftgari. It is fitted with a nasal guard and topped with a spike (feather socket) and two plume holders. The helmet is fitted with an original neck-defense chain-mail composed of rounded links. Iran, 19th century.

Dimensions: H: including chainmail: 12 1/4 in., (31.1 cm.)

Condition: Overall condition good, original gold inlay is mostly lost.
