A Russian Imperial order badge for the Service in the Caucasus. Designed as a silver cross with a gold rim and gold center medallion with a silver Imperial eagle laying on two crossed gold swords. The upper arm of the cross is embellished with a gold cipher of Alexander II, the lower arm reads the date 1864 in gold. Hallmarked with 84 silver proof and C.S. manufacturer marks on the screw. The badge was awarded to officers who served during the 1859-1864 campaign in the Caucasus.
