A rare Order of Saint George, 3rd class. The obverse features a central medallion with an image of Saint George. The reverse bears a hand-painted Cyrillic monogram of SG for Saint George. Inscribed in Russian 18 cam.[paigns] to the front. Circa the mid-late 19th century. Footnotes: The Order of Saint George was established on 26 November 1769 as the highest military decoration of the Russian Empire for commissioned officers and generals by Empress Catherine the Great.

Condition: Good with a small enamel chip.
