Tsuba, Japan, 19 century. The sukashi tsuba in marugata form is made with a lily motif. Magnificent relief engraving on steel by a Japanese master and exquisite gold inlay, which is emphasized by a beautiful brown patina. Has holes for kozuka and kogai.
Dimensions: L: 2 7/8 in., (7.3 cm.)
Condition: Good, patina and rusting, some gilding rubbed off.
