A Japanese World War II army officer katana sword with a slightly curved blade with visible hamon, a gilt metal tsuba and menuki depicting sakura flowers, a hilt made of wood covered in stingray skin and wrapped with silk ito. The tang is signed. The scabbard is metal with gilt bronze mounts.
