Lot 154:
A wakizashi, Edo period. Steel forged blade of slight curvature. The handle is made of wood, covered with stingray skin, and braided with a cotton cord. The metal parts of the handle are inlaid with yellow metal. Tsuba steel, curly shape. The scabbard is wooden and ribbed at the top. Coated with black lacquer. A loop and cord are attached to the scabbard. A wonderful collectible item.
