The hunting hirschfanger dagger, Germany, mid-19th century. A strong single-edged blade with a double-edged blade. Cast brass furniture with quillons in the form of dog heads at the end. The clamshell guard depicts a wild boar and a deer. The handle is made of deer antlers. Late 19th century or earlier.
Dimensions: L: 24 1/64 in., (61 cm.)
Condition: Very good, some patina on blade.
