Lot 184:
Fine 19th-century German No. 923 Weyersberg Irmaos Bowie knife or hunting dagger. The blade is single-edged with three narrow fillers on each side. The handle grip scales are made of carved gutta-percha they feature Roman stylized figures. The blade is stamped with the maker "WEYERSBERG IRMAOS SOLINGEN". The reverse ricasso is stamped with No. 923. The scabbard is made of stitched leather with a white-metal alloy chape.
Dimensions: L: 18 1/4 in., (46.5 cm.)
Condition: Very good with scabbard slightly worn and blade lightly pitted.
