A scarce 1747 Prussian model/1813 Danish model, heavy cavalry backsword, Napoleonic wars. "Rytterpallask M1813" for a heavy dragoon cavalry trooper. Brass hilt bears regimental markings "L.R.R.", "B. No. 48", straight single-edged blade stamped on ricasso with poinçon, most likely a Potsdam inspector’s acceptance mark.
Dimensions: L: 42 1/2 in., (107.9 cm.)
Condition: Very good, some minor dents and signs of age on the blade.
