Gilt brass pommel ferrule and cross guard, lion-head-shaped finials, cross guard features an anchor and Imperial French Eagle, knuckle guard is a finely twisted chain link, straight diamond-shaped blade decorated with engraved floral patterns and marked on ricasso "S.F.S.", wood scabbard covered with black pebbled leather and brass fittings.
