Single-edged blade engraved on the spine, "Manuf’re R’ale de Chatellerault 9’bre 1847" (manufactured royal of Chatellerault September 1847), stamped on ricasso with "B" and "L" inspection stamps (poinçons), and engraved anchor on both sides of the blade. Black painted cup hilt stamped with manufacturers marks on the quillon. Original stitched leather scabbard with brass chape and throat fitting stamped with an anchor.

Condition: Very good.
