Lot 311:
Rare Ottoman Bichak, Balkans circa 1800. Steel single-edged blade with engraved geometric ornament. Silver handle consisting of four ovals decorated with chasing and engraving. The wooden scabbard is in a silver case. The surface of the case is richly decorated with embossing and engraving, in the lower part there is a stylized head of a dolphin. A silver chain is attached to the case top.
Dimensions: L: 12 in., (30 cm.)
Condition: Very good, the blade is slighyl pitted.
