ANTIQUE ARMS, ARMOR AND MILITARY DECORATIONS

A hand-painted Indian shield (dhal), Rajasthan, 19th century. Made of leather, of convex circular shape, provided with a raised border. The entire surface is painted in polychrome with Tigers and mythical animals. The center is set with four domed bosses with high relief faces and perforated borders, affixed on the reverse by four ring bolts.
Dimensions: D: 16 1/2 in., (42 cm.)
Condition: Good with paint somewhat faded.
