The Caucasian shashka with scabbard, 19th century. Blade of slight curvature with one fuller on each side with engraving in the form of a bird and crosses (imitation of images on older European blades). The horn handle is secured with three rivets. Wooden scabbard covered with leather with a brass throat fitting.
Dimensions: L: 32 1/2 in., (82 cm.)
Condition: Good, scabbard was restored.
