ANTIQUE ARMS, ARMOR AND MILITARY DECORATIONS
Lot 390:
A large rare Ottoman Empire kilij sword saber with a deeply curved blade of very fine wootz steel, extensive gold inlaid decorations to both sides, including Islamic calligraphy and symbolism. A handle is made of buffalo horn, while a silver guard is decorated with engraved ornaments. A scabbard is made of wood, covered with black leather and has silver fittings decorated with engravings, featuring two mounts with rings. Dates to the 18th century.

Condition: Saber in good condition with signs of age.
