ANTIQUE ARMS, ARMOR AND MILITARY DECORATIONS
Lot 66:
An Austrian WW1 tunic for a mounted uhlan regiment featuring a light blue single-breasted jacket with a high stand collar faced in scarlet and a single yellow epaulet made of twisted cord. There are plain domed white metal buttons to the front and the jacket is edged to the front with red piping as are the lower edges to all four front scalloped pockets. The tunic was called an uhlanka in the uhlan regiments. The distinctive blue and red uniforms were part of the uhlans unit pride.
