A finely carved cameo depicting Alexander the Great mounted in an 18K gold frame. The cameo has a small glass plaque photo of a man on the verso. The inscription in Spanish reads as follows: "No dejes a un antique amigo por uno nuevo" (English: "Don’t leave an old friend for a new one"), dated 1849. Total weight: .85 o., 24 g.
Dimensions: 1 7/8 x 1 5/8 in., (4.75 x 4.13 cm.)
Condition: Very good.
