Antique Russian matchbox and striker, Lukutin factory, circa 1863-1876. Papier-mache, lacquer, hand-painted with a scene depicting two girls and a cabman in a cart pulled by three horses. Inside it is covered with red lacquer, bearing a gold-tone stamp with the image of a two-headed eagle and a Cyrillic inscription in italics: Lukutin Factory.
Dimensions: L: 4 in, . (10 cm.) W: 4 in., (10 cm.) H: 3 1/4 in., (8 cm.)
Condition: Very good with expected signs of wear, minor chips.
