A German Baroque-era sterling silver centerpiece featuring an open tulip-form bowl with an undulating motif and a cherub sitting on it. A stem is modeled as cherubs supporting each other with grapes. The cherubs stand on a base with floral and seashell decorations and Bacchus masks mounted to the bottoms. Marked to the underside with the manufacturer and 800 silver-proof marks. Mid. 18th century. Weight 176 oz., 5010 g.
